About ACC

Anguilla Community College (ACC) is Anguilla's first indigenous tertiary education institution.

The Birth of An Institution……….

Although there are a number of dates which are significant in the history of the ACC, one of the most important was 24 February 2009, when the Anguilla House of Assembly approved the legislation that brought the College into being.  The Bill was hardly contentious, with both sides of the House agreeing that the ability to provide tertiary education opportunities on Anguilla was critical for the island’s development.  A year earlier, the Community College Development Unit (CCDU) [which is the precursor to the ACC] had relocated from humble quarters at the Cannonball Complex to its new and current home of the ACC at the Roger’s building.  The passing of the Act allowed for the appointment of the very first Board of Governors.  (Excerpt from 2002-2009 – A History of the Anguilla Community College)
